Teaching a child the value of all living creatures.

Sometimes I wonder, why people keep treating animals like if they don't had any value in life? Perhaps, some people didn't learned to have any value to other species from childhood. Maybe, someone forgot to teach those children, how wonderful animals are, and how amazing could be their bond of friendship.

Being a mother has always been a great responsibility, teaching a child the importance & the value of another sentient being, have been the most important issue for me.

If a child understands that all living beings on Earth are as valuable as he is, certainly will have a noble soul, full of compassion, & would never do any harm to any sentient being.

I will like to share some quotes that gave me so many lessons of how just a single word could make such an impact in our lives ...

"He who is cruel to animals becomes hard also in his dealings with men. We can judge the heart of a man by his treatment of animals" ~ Immanual Kant

"An animal's eyes have the power to speak a great language." ~ Martin Buber

"The purity of a person's heart can be quickly measured by how they regard animals" ~ Anonymous

"Who can believe that there is no soul behind those luminous eyes!" ~ Theophile Gautier

"Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains unawakened." ~ Anatole France

"If having a soul means being able to feel love and loyalty and gratitude, then animals are better off than a lot of humans" ~ James Herriot

"The worst sin towards our fellow creatures is not to hate them, but to be indifferent to them. That's the essence of inhumanity". ~ George Bernard Shaw

“The time will come when men such as I will look upon the murder of animals as now they look upon the murder of men.” Leonardo Da vinci

“The love of all living creatures is the most noble attribute of man.” Charles Darwin

“The question is not, “Can they reason?” nor, “Can they talk?” but rather, 'Can they suffer?'” Jeremy Bentham

"We must fight against the spirit of unconscious cruelty with which we treat the animals. Animals suffer as much as we do. True humanity does not allow us to impose such sufferings on them. It is our duty to make the whole world recognize it. Until we extend our circle of compassion to all living things, humanity will not find peace". ~Albert Schweitzer

"Let us dream of tomorrow where we can truly love from the soul, and know love as the ultimate truth at the heart of all creation" ~ Michael Jackson

"It is necessary to help others, not only in our prayers, but in our daily lives. If we find we cannot help others, the least we can do is to desist from harming them" ~ Dalai Lama

"Never, never be afraid to do what's right, especially if the well-being of a person or animal is at stake. Society's punishments are small compared to the wounds we inflict on our soul when we look the other way." ~ Martin Luther King, Jr

"Have you ever wondered, who owned & ruled the Earth before human presence?" ~ Ailed Rivera

“If all the beasts were gone, men would die from a great loneliness of spirit, for whatever happens to the beasts also happens to the man. All things are connected. Whatever befalls the Earth befalls the sons of the Earth.” Chief Seattle of the Suquamish Tribe, letter to President Franklin Pierce

"There is no fundamental difference between man and the higher animals in their mental faculties.… The lower animals, like man, manifestly feel pleasure and pain, happiness, and misery". ~ Charles Darwin

"Wild animals never kill for sport. Man is the only one to whom the torture and death of his fellow creatures is amusing in itself". ~ James A. Froude

"Now I can look at you in peace; I don’t eat you anymore". ~ Franz Kafka, while admiring fish in an aquarium

"Only when the last tree has been cut down. Only when the last river has been poisoned. Only when the last fish has been caught. Only then ... you will find that money cannot be eaten.” ~ Proverb, American Indian.

Here's a lovely story of Christian the Lion, a story that always makes me cry, not of sadness, but of happiness.

Cree Indian Prophecy

Warriors of the Rainbow

Last century an old wise woman of the Cree Indian nation, named "Eyes of Fire", had a vision of the future. She prophesied that one day, because of the white mans' or Yo-ne-gis' greed, there would come a time, when the earth being ravaged and polluted, the forests being destroyed, the birds would fall from the air, the waters would be blackened, the fish being poisoned in the streams, and the trees would no longer be, mankind as we would know it would all but cease to exist. There would come a time when the "keepers of the legend, stories, culture rituals, and myths, and all the Ancient Tribal Customs" would be needed to restore us to health, making the earth green again. They would be mankind's key to survival, they were the "Warriors of the Rainbow". There would come a day of awakening when all the peoples of all the tribes would form a New World of Justice, Peace, Freedom and recognition of the Great Spirit.
The "Warriors of the Rainbow" would spread these messages and teach all peoples of the Earth or "Elohi". They would teach them how to live the "Way of the Great Spirit". They would tell them of how the world today has turned away from the Great Spirit and that is why our Earth is "Sick".

The "Warriors of the Rainbow" would show the peoples that this "Ancient Being" (the Great Spirit), is full of love and understanding, and teach them how to make the "Earth or Elohi" beautiful again. These Warriors would give the people principles or rules to follow to make their path light with the world. These principles would be those of the Ancient Tribes. The Warriors of the Rainbow would teach the people of the ancient practices of Unity, Love and Understanding. They would teach of Harmony among people in all four corners of the Earth.

Like the Ancient Tribes, they would teach the peoples how to pray to the Great Spirit with love that flows like the beautiful mountain stream, and flows along the path to the ocean of life. Once again, they would be able to feel joy in solitude and in councils. They would be free of petty jealousies and love all mankind as their brothers, regardless of color, race or religion. They would feel happiness enter their hearts, and become as one with the entire human race. Their hearts would be pure and radiate warmth, understanding and respect for all mankind, Nature and the Great Spirit.

Ur body's being a graveyard & the blood of innocents, is in ur hands. They deserve to live & to be loved, just like we do. U won't eat ur pet (dog/cat), right? ANIMAL RIGHTS VS ANIMAL WELFARE

ANIMAL RIGHTS

Goals, Purpose & Mission:

To end all human exploitation of animals. This includes, but is not limited to, raising & slaughtering of livestock for human or animal consumption, eating meat, hunting, using animals for any medical or veterinary research, zoos (regardless of how well managed), circuses, rodeos, horse shows, dog shows, animals performing in TV commercials, shows or movies (regardless of how well treated any of the above are), guide-dogs for the blind, police dogs, search & rescue dogs, and the practice of owning pets.

ANIMAL WELFARE

Goals, Purpose & Mission:

To prevent suffering and cruelty to animals. And to provide care and good homes for pets in need. This often includes, but is not limited to, the funding and running of animal shelters (to provide a sanctuary for abandoned, abused, homeless, or unwanted pets, and to place them in good homes where possible, provide painless euthanasia for those that cannot be adopted, and to educate the public about the need for spaying/neutering their pets to prevent more surplus animals ending up in shelters), enforcement of anti-cruelty statutes (where their authority permits), initiating, lobbying for, and monitoring enforcement of legislation to ensure more humane standards of care for livestock, laboratory animals, performing animals, and pets.

Animal Rights v. Animal Welfare

Although animal rights and animal welfare frequently fall on the same side of an issue, there is a FUNDAMENTAL difference between the two ideologies: the right of humans to use animals.

The Right to Use Animals

One of the basic tenets of animal rights is that humans do not have a right to use non-human animals for our own purposes, which include food, clothing, entertainment and vivisection. This is based on a rejection of speciesism and the knowledge that animals are sentient beings.

There are many who believe that humans do have a right to use animals for some purposes, but believe that the animals should be treated better. This position is the animal welfare position.

Example – Farmed Animals

While the animal rights position seeks the elimination of the use of animals, the animal welfare position seeks more humane conditions for the animals. The difference between these two positions can be seen as applied to an issue like farmed animals.

While the animal rights position would hold that humans DON'T have the right to slaughter and eat animals, the animal welfare position would be that the animals should be treated humanely before and during slaughter. The animal welfare position would not object to the consumption of animals, but would seek the elimination of cruel factory farming practices such as confining calves in veal crates, confining pregnant sows in gestational stalls, and debeaking chickens.

Animal rights advocates also oppose these cruel practices, but seek to eliminate the consumption of animals and animal products.

Unacceptable Uses

To most supporters of the animal welfare position, some uses of animals are unacceptable because the human benefit is minimal compared to the amount of animal suffering involved. These usually include uses like fur, cosmetics testing, canned hunting, and dog fighting. On these issues, both the animal rights position and animal welfare position would call for the elimination of these uses of animals.

The Animal Issues Spectrum

Like many other issues, there is a wide variety of positions on animal issues. One can imagine a spectrum with animal rights at one end, animal welfare in the middle, and the belief that animals do not deserve any moral consideration on the other end. Many people may find that their views do not fit completely within one box or the other, or may find that their positions change depending on the issue.

Other terminology

A variety of terms are used to describe positions on animal issues. These include animal protection, animal advocacy, and animal liberation. Animal protection and animal advocacy are usually understood to include both animal rights and animal welfare. Both terms embody a belief that animals should be protected and deserve some moral consideration. “Animal liberation” is usually used to describe an animal rights position, which would oppose any uses of animals for human purposes.

EVERY 3 TO 5 SECONDS A CHILD DIES FROM HUNGER.

Over 15,000 children die daily because of hunger.

We have money for luxuries ... THEY DON'T

We have meal at our table ... THEY DON'T

We have a shelter & a safe home ... THEY DON'T
We must be thankful, because we don't have to go through the horrible experience of seeing a loved one die of hunger. If we can't help the needy ones, the least we can do, is to be grateful for what we have.

We can't live our life  wanting unnecessary things & in a life of greed. A spoonful of rice wasted, is equivalent to thousands of tears; of those who may never see a plate of food. I'm very proud of being Vegan!

These two videos mean a lot to me; every time I watch them, I realize how blessed I am.

Skinned Alive

Oh my God! This is so fucking horrible, barbaric, insane, just ... I can't even find the words to describe it. This footage is so heartbreaking & so disturbing that I couldn't stand watching it. I shared it here so people could see why it is so cruel to wear fur and stop buying it. Animals are here to be protected by us, not to be massacred by us. Can you imagine you being skinned alive? They, like us feel pain, I can't even think about the pain of those poor little ones. People don't need fur to survive, neither to eat. It's just used by assholes, bastards who think they look good on other beings' skin. There's faux fur, it looks the same, it's even better, it doesn't stinks like fur when is wet, fur it's a lot heavier than faux, & obviously faux fur is CRUELTY FREE!

*****WARNING! Graphic Images*****

Animals who are breed and killed for their fur in China live in misery from birth to death. Chinchillas, foxes, minks, raccoons and, yes, even dogs and cats are jammed into crowded wire cages, and the close confinement and filthy conditions quickly lead to mental illness. As documented in our undercover video, fur farmers kill animals by bashing their heads in or breaking their necks while they are still conscious.

Animal protection laws are nonexistent in China, but PETA Asia is working overtime to change that. Whether by submitting recommendations for China's first ever animal protection legislation, going undercover at fur farms, or exposing the hideous conditions for animals in Chinese zoos, PETA Asia is tirelessly on the front line for animals.

Please take a moment to write to the Chinese ambassador to the U.S., Zhang Yesui, and ask him to do everything in his power to put animal welfare on the agenda in his country.

WE ALL NEED TO WORK TOGETHER AND STOP THIS ISSUE. PLEASE DO IT FOR THE ANIMALS. DO NOT BUY FURS!!!
